Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages A continuation of storytelling and building of history around Karen Blixen, the famous author of Out of Africa. The facility has boutique luxury accommodation cottages and a very popular Coffee Garden Restaurant close to the Karen Blixen Museum.

Our Cottages We are all about best and affordable accommodation at the best rates possible. 13 en-suite cottages – 6 one bedroom cottages, 3 family cottages and 1 honeymoon cottage. They can be configured into a single, double or twin. A baby cot can be provided on request.

The standard cottages are ideal for singles, couples or friends traveling together. Please note that these cannot accommodate a third bed – only a baby cot.

The family cottages are ideal for families or friends traveling together. An extra bed can be added in the living room.

Honeymoon Suite This suite has a large bedroom, a lounge spacious for two and two fire places.

There is a charming Garden Restaurant where you can choose from the cosy indoor sitting with adjacent terrace or garden for a la carte fine dining or set menus. Enjoy a beer or a Cocktail as you catch your favorite sporting events at the bar which opens out to a lounge.

There is nothing more refreshing than a dip in a heated pool. Surrounded by deck chairs, it is a perfect spot to take a few strokes then relax with a G&T.

Guests are now assured of a more enjoyable stay following the renovations. Each cottage had the roof and bathroom done afresh. The sky lights in the bathroom flood it with light giving it an illusion of being part of an outdoor space. The bathrooms have double vanities, a bench and huge shower cubicles that can comfortably fit a wheelchair.

The wooden flooring and high ceilings were sanded to their natural color making the interior feel cozy. All furniture and soft furnishings in neutral colors are new giving a sense of warmth and calmness. All rooms are now equipped with a coffee station, satellite TV, telephone, WiFi, safe, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, fireplace and a mini bar.

The whole property is accessible by wheelchair users. Some bathrooms have grab rails and shower stools.
